Hidden labour markets

Finding a job in Central Finland is more or less similar to the rest of Finland as well as most other countries. However, most of the vacancies exist in what is called a "hidden labour market". That is to say that while these jobs are available they are not openly advertised to the public, rather amongst the inner workings of the company. What this means is that in order to get these jobs you must send out open applications to companies in the fields of your choice. Wait a while and start calling! Without personal contact to the companies, they probably won't take you seriously. Thus MARKET YOURSELF ACTIVELY!
